Anyone can Become the Perpetrator or victim of Sexual Assault, Sexual Violence or Rape.

Statistically, it is often someone close to the victim who takes advantage of them. It does happen that strangers perpetrate as well, but sexual assault and sexual violence are most often premeditated. It is important to know that anyone, anywhere, can become a victim.  Sexual assault and sexual violence are not limited people of a certain age, race, sex or gender. It does not only happen to women; many men and boys are victims of these crimes each year. It is also common for victims to show no physical signs of the attack, yet the emotional scarring is evident.

A victim can live a full and healthy life, without the constant debilitating burden of the attack.
